Hello to everyone in KSI. Wait no scratch that. This is bigger than just KSI. So let’s try this again.
Hello to everyone that may read this. Not just KSI, not even to the people playing on Xbox Live. This is to everyone who might read this story on the internet. To everyone who might hear about this from a friend, family member, or a neighbor…W e need your help.
In the almost 300 years that this country has been around, there have been times when the general public has been called upon to help support their military. The biggest example of this was during World War II. The public was asked to sacrifice some of their daily amenities to feed and clothe our boys across the seas. They were asked to work in the factories to help produce the military might of this country.
What I am asking for is by far less than that. What I am now calling on the public to do is to donate a small amount of money per household to help our troops overseas now.
I know that some people don’t agree with what President Bush is doing with the war in Iraq. But I am not here to defend that decision, nor am I here to attack it. What I am here for is to ask for help from the public. This is so that we can try to help a few troops day to day life be a little more bearable.
Our plans are to after we have raised sufficient funds, to go out and buy items to sponsor a platoon, company or battalion within the Army or Marines so that every soldier in the unit may have their own care package. We plan to buy items such as: snack items, stationary so that these soldiers can write home to friends and family alike, reading material such as books or magazines, and any other item deemed permissibl e by the military. Also we are going to be approachin g these companies so that when we do buy large bulks of their wares, that they might also donate more of their merchandis e to this worthy cause. Any ideas or suggestion s for more things to consider would be greatly appreciate d.
My goal, as well as others within our organizati on (KSI Inc. ksiglobal. com) is to possibly sponsor a different unit each month.
