StarCraft II Announced

At long last the widely anticipated sequel to one of the most balance and well known RTS PC games is here, StarCraft II. On May 20th 2007 at Blizzard’s Worldwide Invitational held in Seoul, South Korea. This announcement has been long awaited by StarCraft fans who have been waiting for a sequel to the first game that was released in 1998. Blizzard, also creator of the WarCraft series, confirmed rumors that the game has been in productions since the release of WarCraft III, as many believed.
The game will feature the same three races, ZergProtoss, and Terran. It will however, contain unit upgrades and additions to all races. So far Blizzard has only been forthcoming with information about the Protoss race not willing to reveal the changes within the Zerg or Protoss Races.
The graphics have also been greatly upgraded as you can see from the screenshots above and below, but the balance and game play is promised to remain at the same level so many loved from the original.
