What has happened to professional gaming in today’s society? When I see trash talkers in gaming it makes me sick to be associated with them. The KSI Global Gaming Network has always given our members a positive and professional gaming experience without the horrible trash talking that we see so much today. Most organizations I see do try to keep the same respect for one another, but there are those few who do try and take the fun out of gaming for everyone.

What is a professional gamer? One who upholds him or her self in a manner that every one else would see as respectable and admirable.

What is a trash talker? One who will do any thing in efforts to bring attention to them selves by making threats to other gamers in the communities and at events.

I hear about kids walking into school and hurting each other with extreme violence. Then turn the TV on and hear the violence is being blamed all on video games. It’s horrible that the few bad players are giving a bad reputation to those of us who care.

To me there is one logical solution to these problems. The top officials of the gaming industries and the gaming event controllers need to stand together to ban all forms of trash talking, even if it results in removing those who brag about trash talking in games.

Looking at the current legislation this year, it is clear that the US government is going to start coming down on violence in video gaming harder then ever before. And if gaming communities don’t start to clean up and regulate, we will start to see our freedoms in gaming taken away from us.

Here is a source to see the legislation against gamers today, as well as a way to sign up and help to fight for keeping gaming alive.
