New halo 2 maps

April 17th is the day. The day that two brand new maps will be unleashed upon the Halo 2 community. These new maps are recreations of 2 Halo:Combat Evolved multiplayer maps. Desolation and Tombstone are the titles of these brand new battlegrounds. Desolation is a recreated version of the Halo:CE map Derelict. Tombstone is an evolved version of, arguably the greatest Halo:CE map ever created, Hang' Em High. For those of you that haven't played Halo:CE, these two maps will be a breath of fresh air in Halo 2's online multiplayer. For those of you that have played Halo:CE, these two maps will bring back memories of battles from back in the day. Remember when you and your friends played Halo:CE on split screen and system link in one house? Now you will be able to go to war on these maps on Xbox Live. Both of these maps will include everything from their previous incarnations along with new surprises and an all new "grungified" look. The maps will be available on the original Xbox and Xbox 360 through the Halo 2 content download feature. All you need is an Xbox Live Gold subscription and $4 for the pair. These maps are a reward to the Halo 2 Community for putting in over 800 million hours of Halo 2 gaming. This will bring back a lot of memories and a lot of action to Halo 2 matchmaking. It is just a matter of time. April 17th is the day.
