Well, I have a long history in KSI, some of it good, some of it not so good. I joined in 2015 back in the 360 days of KSI. I remember I was playing Destiny, and I was being bullied pretty badly. It was a KSI NobleKnight who found me. They had stood up for me and brought me around Brutal Squad. They were a Halo squad, due to Halo being so big back in the day. I remember not having the game, but a KSI Ronin bought the game for me so I could join. I cried pretty badly because, before that point in time, I was at an all-time low in my life. I had no friends; I was being bullied on and offline. I didn't feel like things were worth sticking around for. KSI saved me, well Noble Knight saved me by bringing me around.
That's when my life changed. From there I busted my ass, was mentored by KSI Bandit 77, and KSI Mpliers, KSI Jessi, and even got to hang out with a lot of the big wigs like KSI FuzzyMeep 7. I got a lot of good advice and even helped recreate what training was, and how to train for the brutal squad. I rewrote a lot of notes by hand worked my way up the ranks, and was able to do a lot for that squad that I'm still very proud of. Honestly, it's the only squad that left a huge imprint on me, because it was the only squad that felt like family. The only squad and last squad that took mental health seriously. The only squad I had a really deep connection with.
Trying to find that again isn't the easiest thing in the world. I've been to TI, WD, SL, DM, and all sorts of different squads, and different divisions. Trying to find out where I belong. Moving up and down ranks, getting into arguments over mental health, and fighting for what I believe is right. How I believe things should be handled when it comes to certain things, and even been told I will never be a leader again due to my mental health. I've been torn down and railroaded because people didn't like what I've had to say.
I can't give you a clear timeline, but what I can give is stories. I can give you names of people who mentored me, and who were some of my closest friends in KSI. However, the years all blend and bleed together as they all mesh as one. I've had my fair share of ups and downs in the community, but something always brings me back. Perhaps the feeling of wanting to be a part of a family again, or maybe it's the thought that perhaps people have changed for the better. To a time when people took things seriously and didn't force people to try to push past what they were mentally okay with. Despite being torn down time and time again. I can always find one, or two people who seem to understand or have the same belief that I do.
Though it is rare, I'll always keep coming back hoping for the best. KSI Saved my life, and without KSI I wouldn't be alive today. My children would have never been born, and I wouldn't have the husband I do. Despite everything KSI has put me through, and despite all the fights I've gotten into with higher-ups about certain things, no matter how many people I cared about have left, or I found something out I wish I never knew. KSI is my home and always will be.
