When Ghost Recon was released in 2004, it was considered an outstanding sequel to one of the best military shooter on Xbox. Now the expansion has been released called Ghost Recon 2: Summit Strike.
In this expansion, Ghost Recon 2 Summit Strike offers more online maps and more single player missions, and some better graphics. In this game alone, there are 24 multi player maps, 22 multi player modes ( 2 of them which are new) and fifteen new weapons. On the graphical side of this add on players will now a better polished game. For example when there is an explosion in the game such as a helicopter being exploded, it just isn�t a bang. It can be more described as fireworks pretty much. It looks great

For the single player missions, it is pretty much the same. There are 11 single player campaign missions. They did actually revamp the A.I., but just a little bit. You will now see that enemies will be smarter, and when they are shot they will now definitely take cover under anything, drop to their chests. You stay in one spot for to long they will now try to flank you. Overall the makers of GR2:SS did put some better thought in A.I..
In this expansion players will be in a new environment but at the same time staying the same. Still in woods, but with way more trees, there are more mountain levels and yes, there are urban maps as well.
The Aral Sea Multi player Map
You and your team of ghosts will have to take down a Pakistani warlord who assassinated the Kazakh President, and now he is trying to take over the country. Your team will be shown there missions via laptop with key insertion points. Besides doing the Campaign missions, you can do other missions. Such as more lone wolf (which was in the previous GR2).
The 2 new game types that are in GR2:SS are Heli attack and Armor Strike. In Heli Attack, gamers will be put in a map where these waves of helicopters keep coming and it is your job to destroy them, its pretty much a survival game. This game type is very enjoyable with others while playing single player missions online The other new game type is Armor Strike. In this mode there will be 2 teams, and both will have tanks. It is your job to destroy the enemy tanks as well as defend your own. You will be equipped with a laser pointer and when you stand and aim it at the enemy tank, the other team will recognize you because you will have a red circle around you. This will make you bery visible in any map. There are high levels of teamwork needed in both of these game types that keep this franchise living up to its name
This game would have to be a buy. It is only thirty bucks for crying out loud If your in need for money go trade in your old Ghost Recon 2 disc and you will get about 5 bucks off. Overall this game did live up to its name, it has so much to offer and the graphics are amazing as the developers at Red Storm tried their hardest to work with the old engine of Ghost Recon 2 and rev up the graphics. Tue fans have bought this game already. If your looking for a realistic break from Halo 2. GO BUY THIS GAME
