Call of Duty 4: Modern Warefare

Activision announces the making of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. This means that the Call of Duty series is finally moving on from WWII. This is a competitive move against the Medal of Honor series which jumped from the Vietnam War all the way to 2142. Now Call of duty is doing the same. The most immediately obvious major change is - of course - the modern era of warfare the game takes place in. The game will be based in Europe and the Middle East and based on war or terrorism. While we don't know many specifics yet, it's clear that we'll either be playing as US or Russian/European troops. There has been no release date announced thus far, but we look forward to seeing this great new games on shelves soon!
