On August 27th, 2025, I interviewed Pulya, Explosion, and Pharxoh on their tips, plans and their biggest difficulties
Pulya stated during our interview that looking to your SO’s for help as a new SL can be a major help especially in situations you don’t know what to do. “They may see things you don’t.” Pulya stated. Pulya said he looks to bring more connections for people to make more friends between Imperial and other squads inside KSI closing the bridge between them and Imperial.
Before Pulya took over he and the other SO’s took charge and made decisions between themselves since almost the entire their SL wasn’t there. With the help of their CoFo Imperial rose back up and didn’t fail as it could’ve spiraled down with the SL not being there. His advice for upcoming officers goes as follows. “Listen to your cadets as you can learn from them. Cadets look to your Officers to learn and grow and get to know them as it will be a big help as well.
When I interviewed Explosion, he said he looked up to Pharxoh the most as an officer ever since he himself became one. “Pharxoh was the SO that showed me how to do just about anything inside KSI and shaped me into the leader I am today.” Explosion sated. He eventually picked up on Pharxoh’s leadership style and copied it almost down to the exact same way Pharxoh leads. Explosion was shy at first when he became an officer but after a while of him and Pharxoh hanging out and getting to know each other more they became good friends. “My future for Dynasty will be to immediately stabilize my new squad and develop our Officer and SO core even stronger, then I will work on retention not just getting recruits and keeping them by building stronger bonds on day one.” Explosion stated when I asked him what his plans were. His advice for new officers is to ask questions for anything.
Finally, when I asked him about his biggest difficulties he said “as an SO was that he realized immediately that he was among a few other SO's and that it brought a ton of responsibility and accountability, but also the chance to be a leader that uplifts and supports their members. He says that's the hardest thing he had to deal with being an SO.”
When I interviewed Pharxoh this is what he had to say. He looked up to the entire SO core and Nightwave as he achieved the rank of officer very quickly and was still new that he learned a lot from them, their guidance, along with the support of every SO and Div Staff individual played a major part in shaping him into the leader he is today. He followed in each of their footsteps learning little by little from observing how they handled their responsibilities to how they carried themselves and even interacted with members. His plans for Imperial are to build a strong, suitable and engaged community.
In the short term, he plans to focus on recruitment efforts ensuring the new members feel welcomed, oriented, and motivated to be a part of Imperial. In medium term, his goal is to identify and develop potential leaders within imperial. He plans to achieve this by mentoring them and giving them the responsibility to motivate members.
Long term, He plans to make Imperial a model squad for all of KSI to look up to, one known for how active, united and positive it is. He wishes to create a community that is competitive and supportive. One where members encourage each other to grow and enjoy the full experience of KSI. His advice for upcoming Officers is to always remember Pharxoh states that his biggest difficulties as an SO came from learning how to balance all the responsibilities that came with the rank, at first it was a challenge to juggle recruiting, training, hosting, and doing activities while also supporting the squad on a personal level.
He said time management was something he had to improve on quickly, he had to learn how to prioritize the squad's needs without burning himself out. He states that another difficulty he had was confidence in his leadership capabilities. "Stepping into the SO role meant that people were now looking to me for guidance, and early on, I sometimes doubted whether I was experienced enough to handle it. What helped me overcome that was leaning on my mentors, asking questions, and reminding myself that mistakes are part of the learning process."
