In the next matchmakin g update, the Clanmatch playlist is being removed. Clans will remain in the game and can still be used to create social groups, organize events through clan messaging and represent your affiliatio n using your clan tag.

When Halo 2 was released we had Major and Minor clan playlists which used small and large team configurat ions. Major Clanmatch was identical to the Big Team Battle playlist while Minor Clanmatch was a mashup of Team Slayer and Team Skirmish.
