Everyone loves the 360 and now there is a change to its outside and inside. Microsoft is now creating a black 360. Yes thats right folks, all of you that bought the Gray 360 now have something else on the market from Microsoft. The Elite 360 will be sold along side the Premium and the Core editions of the XBox 360. There are quite a few differences but are they really worth the $479 that you will pay for it? The Elite system will only be in limited quantity with Microsoft only shipping a couple hundred thousand.
This system will be equipped with a completely black theme. Everything that comes with the Elite will be black from the headset to the controller. While Microsoft is only selling a select amount of these black XBox\'s; The internal change will become permanant in the Premium XBox\'s (Gray). The new Elite 360 has 120 GB/ HDMI which is better then the Premium system. While it is not known when the 120GB/ HDMI will become permanant in the Premium systems, sources say that it will be late summer to late fall. The Elite will also run cooler then the Premium but sources are not yet certain that there will be 65nm chip in these Elites. When the 65nm chips are shipped out though, it is confirmed that a price cut on the Premiums will begin. The other myth of upcoming upgrades to the 360 is the installation of a HD DVD drive, this will not happen. Microsoft never had plans to install a HD DVD drive into the 360\'s. Many people who already have premium\'s will attempt to buy these upgraded systems when the only real increase was in memory, which you can change on your own with a memory card. The Elite will sell and it is going to be another great marketing strategy by Microsoft.
