Microsoft is rebranding the game pass due to them adding some of the PC games into the passes.

Their reasoning is due to; them wanting the customers to have a wider variety of games to play. Not limited to them including PC games into the library for their users. Their game pass ultimate went from, 19.99 to 29.99 which is surprising! One would think they’d want to keep it at the same price for everyone if they couldn’t afford the price increase. Microsoft is trying to justify to everyone the increases of the prices to make it seem fair to everyone.

The Core Game pass is being rebranded to game pass essential; the standard plan is now known as Game Pass Premium. They’ve also said there is UNLIMITED CLOUD gaming which is new to these game pass holders. Which, in my opinion is an amazing addition due to some people who may not have enough internal storage with their gaming consoles and can't afford storage expansions. From what it seems like they’re wanting to give us the gamers freedom to have what’s on our consoles and to change everything out. Now with the Ultimate game pass, that includes over 400 titles and includes games globally and to be added from partners that would want their games in the game pass with this subscription which is at $30 a month.

They also say that they’ve added 45 games to the ultimate game pass today alone, along with 75 day one releases each year. Which is 50% more than the provided years past! Which sounds like an amazing addition! Also, PC gamers prices increased with Microsoft. The plans went from 11.99 to 16.40, which is a 40% increase. They aren’t justifying the increase, but they also have said that they’d get a lot of the Ubisoft games, no classics unfortunately. They will continually get day one game titles such as Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, along with Microsoft Xbox users.

In conclusion, I can see why they did it for the better games for everyone and the better storage and having more cross play games. How do you feel about the price hike for Game Pass? Will you purchase it or just want to pay for games outright as normal? Do you feel it's worth it? Please let us know!
