Doom 3 is first-person shooter that has you guarding earth's gates from hell. You are a marine whose sole purpose is to totally annihilate anyone who threatens earth's chance of survival.

Doom 3 is a title that has been long awaited for by x-box gamers. When it launched on pc it was an instant hit due do its awesome graphics and detailed environments, not to mention the endless hoard of monsters lining up to kill you. The x-box version is much like its comrade on pc but with some added bonuses. One of the best features on the x-box version is the ability to talk hands free while in death match or co-op. Unlike halo 2 you don't need to press any buttons at all to communicate. Now lets get to the campaign. This campaign is one of the most detailed and challenging ones you'll ever play. From it's rich environments to its hordes of monsters trying to kill you. A new feature to Doom is the PDA, which you will need to access throughout your journey on in space and in Hell. It keeps you updated with all of your objectives and holds all codes and important voice messages you will need. One of the most challenging aspects of the game is its necessity of a flashlight. You must cycle between using a flashlight and blasting enemy's heads off with your shotgun. However this tedious task is eliminated when you play multiplayer campaign mode. One person can hold the flashlight while the other shoots but be warned when your partner dies you better start blasting! Another nice and convenient feature is that when you die you drop a backpack, which you can pick back up to get all of your equipment. Even the death matches in here are awesome (with a little room for improvement). It's fun to taunt your opponent when you put a shotgun shell through his dome or blast him with your plasma rifle. Now what I mean by some improvement is the fact that it only supports 4 players max, but there is a tourney mode where you can play with numbers of people waiting in line to kill your opponent but be warned if you die then you got to go back to the back of the waiting line. One last game mode is team death match where you team up and try to annihilate all competition.
