Clan Operations

The Beginning - Late 2009 to 2011

Originally joining in late 2009, KSI BlazZze 7 (then KSI x HiTmAn) would begin his ClanOps journey in Lost Empire, and join a very small squad, Forgotten Kings (FK).There was no stable leadership in the squad at the time so it was a quick climb to the Squad Leader role (then called 'General'). At first, it was difficult to grow the squad. It wasn't until after a few different people joined the squad before numbers started rising. Individuals such as KSI Decisions, KSI itzzzzzJake, and KSI McBain (to name a few) were pivotal to the success of the squad. As numbers grew within the squad, BlazZze decided KSI itzzzzzJake as his successor as Squad Leader. At this point, a squad split was approved and FK would go on to split to create Aztec LE. With the squad split complete, HiTmAn would ascend to the rank of Co-Founder and overlook FK LE and Aztec LE. FK would go on to reach capacity again, and another squad split was approved. This squad split would result in the creation of Troy LE. With the second FK squad split completed, HiTmAn would be promoted to Founder.

The Schism - 2011

A few months after being promoted to Founder, a schism would form leading to an exodus of members following KSI FuzzyMeep 7 as he left with other high ranking individuals to create KSI (.org). Within LE, then Division Leader (KSI Spazbit 7) would give the decision for the division to follow Fuzzy to BlazZze. The Co-Division Leader role was vacate at the time, leaving BlazZze as the second highest ranking member in the division. After speaking with various squads throughout the division, BlazZze would decide for the division to follow to KSI (.org) and be granted Division Leader status moving forward.

Lost Empire Golden Era - 2011 to 2012

Now in KSI (.org), Lost Empire would flourish under the leadership of BlazZze. Within months, the division would grow from ~250 members to ~400 members. The strategy was simple: creating a gaming community where everyone was welcome. This worked, as people were hungry to lead and make connections with each other. While Division Leader, countless hours were spent building relations with members from different squads. Before long, these low ranking squad members would spark a desire to get more involved, leading to a cohesive division constantly budding with new leaders. However, BlazZze was soon going to make his first mistake. Even today, it's not clear if it was favoritism or just a lapse in judgement, but BlazZze would promote a Squad Leader to Co-Founder over two other individuals who had held the rank of Squad Leader longer and were just as successful. This would lead to the loss of Troy LE entirely, with the Squad Leader opting to self destruct the squad.

With that said, this is indeed still the Golden Era for Lost Empire, as numbers bounced back quickly even with the loss of an entire squad. It would only be a few short months after this event that Lost Empire would be close to reaching capacity with ~800 members. At that point, a division split was approved and LE began prepping for a joyous occasion. Similar to the days of being a Squad Leader, BlazZze would decide KSI itzzzzzJake to be his successor as Division Leader, as with the conclusion of the division split BlazZze would be promoted to Director looking over LE and its split division.

The Fall of Lost Empire - 2012

Now at the rank of Director, BlazZze would spend much of his time using a hands off form of management to focus on other duties, and letting Division Leaders make the decisions they felt were right. This also meant that he would have more time for personal matters and wouldn't get online as often as before. KSI itzzzzzJake would take notice of BlazZze's absence and begin forging a plan of betrayal. Within a few months of obtaining the Director rank, KSI itzzzzzJake would take LE back to KSI (.com), blocking BlazZze from thwarting his efforts. With LE no longer being in KSI (.org), He would be approached by senior leadership and asked to step down from Director to rebuild LE as its Division Leader again. He would accept the demotion, but within the next few days, a resignation would be submitted and BlazZze would take his leave.

Banned from KSI (.org) - 2012

At his lowest point, BlazZze would regroup with KSI itzzzzzJake and others to attempt creating their own gaming community after LE collapsed shortly after migrating back to KSI (.com). For context, KSI itzzzzzJake and BlazZze were friends since childhood, which made the act of quick forgiveness more understandable, but also makes the overall situation a bit more messed up. This would lead to terrible interactions with KSI (.org) members. Some individuals BlazZze was affiliated with would even resort to poaching and threats of DDoS'ing. It wouldn't be long before the gaming community he was creating would be banned from KSI (.org), and as a leader of said community, he would be given a targeted ban. He would later appeal to get the ban removed with success.

The Brief Return to KSI (.com), but Mainly New Friends - 2013

After a short hiatus, BlazZze would return very briefly to ClanOps in KSI (.com), joining Xero Gravity and eventually becoming the General over DarkMatter XG. The stay in ClanOps was very short and unsuccessful, leading to XG shutting down. However, he would meet KSI Anatomy 7 in XG. These two would be companions going forward as BlazZze switched to be devoted to WebOps.

Early KSI (.org) Activity

FTLA Mentor (2011-2012)

BlazZze would be heavily involved in the educational FTLA program, pushing many of his division members to enroll in as many courses as possible. Often, Lost Empire members would opt to be in his class, which did help to solidify a cohesive & competitive division. FTLA, as a program, was available for various members in KSI to learn more about how to be a successful leader within the larger community. During the time, it was standard for anyone looking to participate in the community seriously to complete the basic FTLA course. Courses would last multiple weeks, with 'class' occurring once a week for about an hour. Often times, we'd talk through mock scenarios you might face in a leadership role. The role of the students would be to collaborate on the scenario regarding how best to deal with the scenario, while the instructor softly guides them to the correct outcome.

Weekend Warfare Bracket Keeper (2011-2012)

Heavily inspired by Friday Night Fights, a weekly 'partnered' tournament many members of KSI (.com) would participate in, Weekend Warfare was created to be a single or double elimination tournament available for anyone in KSI to participate in. BlazZze would be the bracket keeper from the creation of 'Weekend Warfare' until he "retired" following the fall of Lost Empire. Majority of the brackets made were single elimination due to volume of entries.
