As a Squad Officer, you dream of one day running your own squad. You put in the work, dedication, and motivation to reach that goal. It means growth, opportunities, and a legacy of excellence. You and your squad have all worked towards this for a month, two months, or even longer. You've been recruiting, training, and developing from the top down and bottom up to ensure the best possible leaders are in position for the community and squad to succeed.

Finally, that magic number comes along: One hundred members. You get that message from your Squad Leader. You're going to be a Squad Leader now too. The next few days are a whirlwind. It starts with making sure you have your officers in place, correct numbers, and complete trainings. From there, you do your activity checks which ensure you are splitting an active squad above all.  There are endless meetings with Division Staff, your Squad Leader (who's about to move up) and your fellow Senior Officer who’ll be getting their own squad too. Then comes the split. You meet with the officers who’ll be in your squad, get a game plan, and start implementing it.


It's hard work, splitting a squad, but once it's done, it becomes more of its own reward. Now, the even harder work begins. You lead the way you know, take feedback, learn and grow. As a Squad Leader, growth and development never stop. You train your officers, recruit and coordinate game nights, all in the hopes that you split your squad one day. It’s worth it in the end. The growth and satisfaction that you receive from leading a squad leaves a legacy of the type of leader you were, and the one you became when your Co-Founder gave you the tap. Being a Squad Leader is hard work, but at the end of the day, it is the most satisfying thing you will do in KSI.
