Yesterday’s release of the Xbox 360 was highly look forward to. Starting in early morning hours, people waited for the stores to open to try to ensure their place as an owner of a Xbox 360. Many waited in vain, because most stores were sold out by noon. Bill Gates gave out 300 Xbox 360s to Washington residents, while most stores were only given 15 Xbox 360s to sell. With such a low amount to sell, many gamers went home unhappy with the term “sold out” going through their mind. Microsoft has upset many of their customers. Many hard working long-term customers were greatly disappointed about the Xbox 360, because they couldn’t stand in line to wait all morning. So they were declined, because they had to make a living.

Many stores have been telling gamers that they will have to wait anywhere from a week, or up until February to get their Xbox 360. At last count, a good portion of those gamers have talked about not purchasing the Xbox 360, and getting a Playstation 3 instead. On release, Sony has said they will be able to meet the demands of the Xbox 360, and that every person wanting a PS3 will be able to purchase it.
