On January 20, 2024, the Banshee squad officially split and a new squad, Arcane, was born. The squad leader is Sh0ck 7, and Senior Officers are Christ 7 and Spirefly 7. We also have Cer7ified, Deceptionx7, D33z Nutz, and Serovino serving as officers.
The leadership team of Arcane has many long years of history in KSI together, going all the way back to March of 2015 when we were all in a squad called Fury in the Celestial Chaos division. With all of our combined experience, we’re confident that Arcane will be a strong, successful squad!
We are starting out with five Cadets who are enthusiastic about ranking up and growing our team, as well as many active members who bring a variety of backgrounds and experiences to the group. Our focus is to bring more Halo players into KSI so that we can build up a large presence in the Halo universe just like it used to be.
Arcane would also like to extend a hearty congratulations to Vixen on her promotion to Co-Founder, and we look forward to working together to grow! As long as we keep working as a team, there will be no stopping us!
Interviews with Leadership Vixen, Co-Founder
Q: Tell me about your experience as a new member to KSI, working your way up to Co-Fo.
A: “My experience as a new member was a little overwhelming. Never been in a gaming community before so to join this one where it was huge with a lot going on. It was a little bit intimidating. But as I’ve started to meet new people started to get my bearings a little bit, I’ve enjoyed the process of learning how everything’s been ran and learning all the different positions I have led me to where I am now.”
Q: What was your favorite and least favorite thing about being a squad leader?
A: “My favorite part about being a squad leader is being able to lead something as good as a squad that was something you’ve helped build up and have been a part of it’s making. My least favorite part was sometimes having to be the person to make the tough calls. Running a squad is never easy so sometimes it comes with making harder calls than you wanted to make. But a part of learning these positions is learning when you should be making these calls in the first place. And asking for help when needed.”
Q: What’s your hope for the future of the squads you oversee?
A: “My hope for future with the squads that I oversee is that I get to see them continuing to grow and flourish. I would love to see the creation of many new squads just from something as small as the one squad it started with. Then maybe one day those squads becoming a whole new division.”

Q: What are your thoughts about the split?
A: “I’m excited to see the squad grow. I know that with the team that I’ve got working with me, we can bring Halo back into KSI and make it awesome. I’m excited to see where Arcane will go.”
Q: How does KSI of today compare to the KSI you knew when you first joined in 2015?
A: “Things have changed a lot, for example, we didn’t have discord back then, but the heart of KSI is as strong as always, and the philosophy is the same. Community, teamwork, and a shared love of gaming are the foundation of KSI, just like always.”
Q: How does it feel to be playing and recruiting in Halo again?
A: “It’s so awesome, Halo was a huge part of KSI back in the day, but it has died down a bit, so I’m excited to revive it. But anyone in the squad who teabags me gets an automatic demotion.”
