What video game world would you live in?
Gaming has often been a means of expression, escape from reality, and relaxation for so many people since its beginning. It opens up the player to many different characters as well as environments to explore. It gives you the opportunity to experience different aspects of the imagination while focusing on experiences, patterns, and even puzzles. Some of these games, for example, are Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Hogwarts Legacy, or even Red Dead Redemption. The growth opportunities for character development, knowledge base if you have read the books or seen the movies, and exploration are many reasons to jump into different genres. That being said, if you could choose a gaming world to live in, which would you choose and why? Would you choose to be a main character or someone who helps the main character? Finally, would you choose to be a hero or villain? What video game world would you live in? What would your role be in the world and what skills would you choose?
Hogwarts Legacy:
For me, I would choose Hogwarts Legacy for a few reasons. Chief among them… Magic! I've always wanted to know what it would be like to have magical abilities. That being said, there are so many possibilities that open up to you. Assuming you are magical, that is. You could become a teacher, auror, herbologist, and so much more! I love to learn and explore while creating things. Which means I would prefer to be the main character and help others along the way, while learning all I can! But being the main character comes with a lot of responsibility and expectations from others.
Exploration:
While exploring, you come across people and creatures that need your help. Unicorns, hippogriffs, thestrals, and nifflers are just a few! You could use them as steeds or care for them, and in return they give you ingredients for potions! You can choose to help or ignore them, though by helping others your experience and knowledge grows. With so many quests and side quests, you gain the experience needed for the next task that prepares you for the next villain. It opens not only more quests but also plants, creatures, and people to assist. My favorite part is finding hidden caves with treasures in them. There are definitely perks of finding these caves because they may contain coins, armor, or potions that'll help with your experience or upgrading the said armor.
Potions:
The other part that's exciting is the potions. While exploring, you collect or buy ingredients to brew different potions that serve different purposes. Wigginweld, thunderbrew, focus, and maxima potions are just a few of them. Some are used to heal while others enhance stats during battles. Whichever potions you choose to use or brew, they take time and specific ingredients that aren't always easy to acquire. You must sometimes travel to stores or again explore in order to find them, but that's half the fun! Not only that, let's not forget that you can also grow them along with plant-like creatures such as Mandrakes, Chinese Chomping Cabbages, and Venomous Tentacula. Those plants can also be used during battle to assist in causing a little bit of extra damage.
