To me, there’s a certain kind of magic locked within the sound of a tiny disc rotating in a Nintendo GameCube disc tray. It’s the sound of late nights, wired controllers stretched across the room, and friendships tested over one more match. For many years, that era of gaming has lived mostly in our memory, occasionally re-lived through emulation or aging hardware. However, it appears that Nintendo is ready to rip open the vault doors to the golden days of gaming.


With the rumored arrival of GameCube titles on the Nintendo Switch 2, players may soon revisit a generation that quietly shaped modern gaming. This isn’t just another wave of retro content. It’s a nod to a time when franchises experimented in the name of fun, also when they weren't afraid to take bold swings, and when games like The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker and Super Smash Bros.

Melee defined living room rivalries.

If this move becomes reality, it signals more than nostalgia. It suggests Nintendo understands something timeless: that great games don’t age out, they echo.


With that being said the creators of game cube and the makers of Pokémon have officially announced that the OG Pokémon games will be remastered! This is big news for all gamers and Pokémon lovers alike! According to Nintendolife.com, Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness is one of two exclusive games to be on switch 2 and game cube. The second is Pokémon: Colosseum! While those two games are focused on different aspects of the Pokémon franchise both are sure to have their own challenges and rewards!

Those two games have been in the works of being remastered and released. For those of us who are eagerly awaiting the release they are said to be releasing them in March of this year which means they are already out! There has been talk about other Pokémon games being remastered but have been unconfirmed. We are definitely keeping our eyes and ears open though for the many possibilities of the release or re-release of games that have previously been closed in vaults for various reasons. While looking forward to the different possibilities you could go head-to-head with friends or even trade with them or others. Collaborate with npcs to get those hard to acquire Pokémon or Pokémon evolutions in the far reaches of the games. 


Regardless if you are a Pokémon collector, trainer, fighter or trader, these games have it all. To put it plainly there's plenty of things to do while completing your pokedex and or your rise to the top to defeat the Elite Four. With traveling around the different regions there's so many things, people and Pokémon to see! Whether its Pokémon, Zelda, Super Mario Bros or Crash Bandicoot the nostalgia is real! Knowing they are in the works for opening up more OG games for the consoles is very exciting news indeed. When looking for a new game or even the same OG games these Pokémon games are loved by so many that it has definitely caught our attention. So, if like us you are a Pokémon fan, have a switch 2 or GameCube we highly recommend checking them out!
