After seeing Aeon Flux, I was taken back to the MTV show that came on after Beavis and Butthead. The movie was just like the cartoon with so much more. I remember watching Aeon Flux and wishing the show would have been more then 30 minutes. Aeon Flux has it all: dual SMG’s, Battle Rifles, flips, and a stunning Charlize Theron.
The story takes place in the 25th century, where a virus has forced humanity into the seclusion of a Halo type city. It is the perfect city, or so it seems. But is the perfect city hiding a lie. A stunning acrobatic assassin, Aeon Flux (Charlize Theron), helps lead the rebellion against the city. Her latest target is the government's top leader, but on her mission she discovers a world of secrets.
From the futuristic clothes to the designs of the city, the fashion within this movie is the best I’ve seen. The special effects were off the hook, and Charlize Theron gave her best performance yet.
I like seeing movies where ladies kick ass, and at the same time protect their men. Tomb Raider is one, but felt like I had been to an amusement park after watching it. You stand in line forever to see a movie, and it ends up having a poor script with great special effects. Aeon Flux was worth the wait. It has a great story line that will remind you of the first Matrix.
We all hope to see Aeon Flux come to the XBOX 360, and after seeing the movie you will understand why.
Great movie!! I give it a 9.5 or thumbs up. The only thing I would like to see, is the cartoon back on MTV, a game for the 360 and Aeon Flex Part 2.
