Finally a World War II game that actually depicts the war and key events that occured and effected the out come of the war. Activision and Treyarch did what many before could not do, including themselves, in making a realistic WWII game. Call of Duty 3 gives you the point of view of an American, British and Polish soldier. In this game you switch around to the different armeries and complete different missions that will help win World War II. Most World War II based games share similar styles but Call of Duty 3 takes a step forward and really honors the soldiers that fought in this war.

The game gives an amazing perspective of what occured in World War II and how dangerous it really was. To start the game you are helped over a wall and it begins. Bullets are barely missing you, your fellow soldiers are dropping all around you and planes are constantly flying by over head. The campaign was short but at the same time great. You hear Germans yelling and grenades clinking down stairs as you fight to defeat the Germans. The game may not take you to t[centerhe end of the war and it may end suddenly; but for what battles you get to fight in the campaign is amazing.

Online play is what I love about the game. You are rated on your \"true skill level\" and can be ranked among many leader boards. Many different game types are available like: war, team battle, battle, and capture the flag. You battle online competition to gain a \"score\" and after recieving a cumulative score over a set amount you gain a promotion. You can work your way up to General after receiving a score over 40,000; which will take the normal gamer months. This extends the amount of time someone can spend on the game making it one of the better games for an online gamer.
