In the world of KSI gaming squads, leadership isn’t just about issuing commands or sending pings; it’s about building up communities, fostering teamwork, and occasionally surviving a split that feels like a raid boss fight. Enter Monarchy Rising, a division that has seen more squad splits, merges, and renames twice. At the center of it all are the squads Sovereign and the soon-newly-formed Crowned, led by a cast of committed (and slightly sleep-deprived) leaders who take the term “gaming family” very seriously.

“Never give up, even when it seems hard. You don’t fight alone here, and there are always people in your corner,” said KSI Ghoulina, Squad Leader of Sovereign. “I had an amazing support system in my division staff, and even though I fought to not need their help, I learned it’s okay to lean on others.”

The Legacy of Sovereign

Sovereign isn’t just any squad. Formed after the Imperial MR split, it’s now achieved its second major transformation. According to KSI Mau 7, former Division Leader of Monarchy Rising, preparation and teamwork have always been key.

“We focused on increasing activity by pinging and DMing members, making sure everyone completed their trainings, and ensuring we had the proper staff in place for the split.” Mau 7 explained.

Squad goals are clear: stay active, nurture relationships, and grow together. Ghoulina emphasizes quality over quantity better to have a small, engaged group than a large, disconnected one.

“If we can pull in a small amount of people and keep them talking and gaming, then we are winning and growing,” she said.
Meanwhile, KSI BadKarma, Founder of Sovereign, keeps things balanced:

“I don’t really have a recipe for success, I just ensure I am available for anyone within the squad and that the Squad Leaders do their jobs.”
Also, KSI Wolven_Empress, returned to leadership after prioritizing mental health, adds the human touch:

“Respect is earned, and trust is everything, but also understanding and listening to others and their ideas, their feelings, and what’s going on mentally.”
Finally, KSI ItsBubba 7, fellow Founder and now Division Leader, reflects on Sovereign’s resilience and long-term goals:
“Sovereign has been through a lot. They have gone through a couple of Squad Leaders and have had to rebuild at least twice. But one thing I can say is that they always overcome the odds; failure is not an option for them.”

While Sovereign has a storied past, Crowned is the fresh face, set to grow while maintaining strong ties with its sister squad. KSI Mau 7 wants to see Crowned thrive, building staff and member engagement while keeping teamwork high. Ghoulina’s advice is simple but powerful: mutual support above all.
“For them to always have each other’s backs and continue to grow and work together!” she said.

Wolven_Empress sees Crowned as a chance to inspire members and staff, creating a squad where communication, kindness, and activity drive success.
“A good leader isn’t someone in ‘charge,’ but someone people want to follow.” she said.

KSI ItsBubba 7 sets clear expectations for the split and beyond:
“Post-split, the expectation is simple: rebuild and do it all over again. Activity and retention are everything, and I want them to build their own legacy.”

Monarchy Rising: A History of Splits, Merges, and Epic Game Nights

The division’s history reads like a gaming montage:

*January 4, 2025: Monarchy Horde is formed after splitting from Viking Horde with four squads under KSI Chef Cos 7, KSI SassyKitten 7, and KSI FatNinja.

*February 28, 2025: Division renamed to Monarchy Rising.

*April–May 2025: Squads renamed, transferred, or merged as Phoenix CR becomes Balthazar MR and Heirborne MR becomes Excalibur MR.

*May–August 2025: Multiple splits create Sovereign MR, Majesty MR, and Reignborn MR. Promotions include KSI BadKarma, KSI Mau 7, and KSI ItsBubba 7, with BadKarma and ItsBubba receiving multiple promotions.

*October 2025–January 2026: Sovereign MR splits to create Grizzly MR (later Waabak MR), Balthazar MR splits to create Zaryndor MR, and further squad dissolutions and mergers occur.

*January 28, 2026: Royals MR is created from the split of Majesty MR.
