EO/IA Promotions!
In any organization, team splits can be a critical juncture, offering both challenges and opportunities for growth. As the team divides into new structures, it’s essential to navigate this transition with clarity and intention. The process not only reshapes workflows and responsibilities but also requires a reevaluation of team dynamics and communication strategies. Today we will be discussing this with our new Squad Leaders: Mood Goddess and Swanny. We explore effective approaches to managing a team split, ensuring that each new unit is poised for success while maintaining overall organizational cohesion.
First up is Moon Goddess! Squad Leader over Kyber!
Goddess was asked to step up when Kyber needed a leader and she has been able to lead Kyber into a new direction with poise, dignity, and encouragement.
“The challenges that are set up in my path are to motivate members to want to move up within the squad. As well as weed out anyone that doesn't benefit the growth of my squad. My goal is to uplift the squad to its former glory when Fluffy was Squad Leader. He took me into Kyber when I was struggling with another squad and his leadership made me want to keep being promoted. As did ShadowFox when she was my Squad Leader. My goals still remain: Compete with every Squad in regards to activity, retention, and reputation. I'm ambitious! Since taking over Kyber, I have faced many difficulties trying to change previous behaviors I did not agree with. This leads to most of my members questioning me and the future of Kyber but most have come to understand that everything I do is for what I think is best for Kyber to grow and thrive.”
Grow and thrive is what is happening over in Kyber! Let’s make sure to congratulate Moon Goddess on the well deserved promotion!
Next is Turmoils own Squad Leader: KSI Swanny.
“We worked very hard and put in a lot of time getting ready for the split. Everytime we would have enough officers, cadets and members, someone would leave. It felt like we would take 5 steps forward and 6 steps back. Things since the split have been PHENOMENAL! I couldn’t ask for much better of a squad and officer corps. I am so blessed with my current roster. My biggest challenge is finding more people who will put in the time and effort to be an officer. Most people don’t understand the expectations of being an officer. It’s very time consuming and stressful sometimes. Moving forwards, my goal is to have Mercy (my SO) trained up and ready to take over the squad. He is a quick learner and dedicated to growing and improving this squad.”
As the dust settles on the recent team split, the focus now shifts to harnessing the potential of these new ideas. By fostering open communication and setting clear goals, both teams can navigate this transition smoothly and emerge stronger. It’s crucial that leaders remain supportive and adaptive, addressing any challenges promptly while celebrating early successes. With a proactive approach and a shared vision, this split could pave the way for innovative breakthroughs and renewed momentum for the entire organization.
